another tooth

Nathan's second of the two front teeth is coming in!!! Hopefully it will come down and join us before Christmas. That will be five teeth total and hopefully will help him look a little more normal. Nothing else new and exciting. We are still trying to set up an endocronology appt. We received two letters this week from CHOP, one from dermatology and one from Genetics. They are depressing to read and I should just file them away instead of reading them. Anyway, genetics called it a "working diagnosis of Pyknodysostosis" and dermatology indicated symptoms of acrogeria. Genetics does not want to see him again for a whole year which is a FABULOUS sign. We should be scheduling appts like cardiology follow-up, eye exam, ent etc. but it all becomes so overwhelming that those appointments get put on the back burner. Right now we have scheduled a regular pediatric check-up and an appointment with GI in December.

man on a mission!

well, Nathan really enjoyed trick or treating! He looked adorable in his Tigger costume with the puffy belly and tail. He had to walk by himself and carry his bag even though it was dragging on the ground. We went to about 15-20 houses and he wanted to do more. He was really really into it!!!
I forgot to mention a couple weeks ago that Nathan had an evaluation for speech and did not qualify for services. The evaluator did recommend an increase in Sheila's services from every other week to weekly. She is the teacher and can work with him on speech too.
Nothing else new and exciting, What a difference a year makes though. Even though we don't have alot more information, Nathan has come so far physically and developmentally in the last year. I'm very thankful that I am enjoying him so much more now.
