To the movies!

So we took the kids to see Madagascar tonight. It was Nathan's first movie theater experience and he was very cute. We got him one of those boosters to sit on and he still kept saying, "the seat's coming up" but he could see and enjoyed the movie. He was disappointed when it was over. Boy is it expensive for a family of four to go to dinner and a movie! My rationalization was that we contributed to the tanking economy.

Nathan is just not making any progress in the area of physical development. You would think with PT four times weekly, he would be making leaps and bounds, but he was re-evaluated at Theraplay and did not meet any of his goals. They are perplexed. I don't have much contact with the PT at his school. I know Nathan does not like her and asks every morning when he goes to school if he has to see her. I'm thinking she must make him work hard. I do need to ask that she write down exactly what she did with him for each session. I don't like not knowing and obviously Nathan is not a real reliable reporter. It would be so nice if he could go up and down the steps independently, but that seems like it is so far away. At his age, Libby was able to go up and down the steps to get things that she needed, whereas he has to wait for us to take him upstairs and we still need to put the gate up at the top of the steps when he is upstairs.

I am getting really nervous about the upcoming Dexa scan. Mark says we don't have anything to worry about but of course I do. I just feel like if it could change our whole outlook for him. We are cautious already but if the dexa scan indicates fragile bones, we will be even more protective. Thank you for all of your prayers for Nathan and our family. We so appreciate it-28 weeks pregnant and counting!

Oh yes, and Nathan is currently sleeping on the office floor on his crib mattress while Mark paints rooms. Libby is in Nathan's old room which is now pink and very cute. She finally has a closet! Mark is painting Libby's old room so it can be the office. When that is finished he will be painting the current office blue for the boys. It is big enough for two kids plus has two closets. Nathan is excited to be out of his crib, although he did fall off the mattress the one night and had rolled several times across the floor.
