Carly!

Here is an awesome letter from a fellow parent of a child with Progeria!  I figured it would be a nice reminder about the other cuties you are helping too!  Don't forget to donate to PRF's OnePossible campaign!

Happy Mudders Day!

I am a day late but I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day yesterday.  We were in the Poconos this weekend and my parents watched the kids.  They had a great time and Memaw and Pop Pop claim they were very good!  I am so grateful for their help and thankful that at 69 and 72 they are healthy and involved in our lives!  Mark and I went to the Poconos so that he could participate in the Tough Mudder.  It is a 12.5 mile obstacle course with running, climbing, jumping, crawling and swimming with mud, ice, electricity, hills, fire and more!  I am so proud of him for finishing (in one piece)! Proceeds from the Tough Mudder benefit the Wounded Warrior Project for wounded veterans which is awesome!

Whenever Libby or Nathan do something silly, we joke that we still have hope that Bennett will be our genius child!  We are not sure how average parents would have a super intelligent child but we keep thinking we see glimpses of genius in this little guy!  Well.....maybe not-here he is drying his hair with a dollhouse blow dryer which happens to be attached to the actual dollhouse furniture!  He is a very very funny and entertaining kid!

My Future

Last month Chick Fil-A was giving out these little books with their kids meals.  The books were little mini scrapbook type books that kids are supposed to create themselves with information about themselves.  Nathan was OBSESSED with his book!  This is just one of the pages that he did.  This is what our fundraising is all about.  This is why we have stepped out of our comfort zone in so many different ways.  This is what keeps us going!

PS I believe he knows that Erdenheim is not a state or country...we might have to work on that!

Chestnut Hill Local

This is an article that came out today in the Chestnut Hill Local. Sue Ann Rybak did a great job especially with research. Reading this, I can't even believe it is us..our story...my life...our lives as parents. I ignore the reality day to day which is what I need to do to get by. Chestnut Hill Local
